Full stop. For our founder, this wasn't just a legal headline. He had spent decades fighting for people harmed by systems — leading consumer protection organizations, advocating for workers' rights, championing human rights at home and abroad.

THE HONEST TRUTH
Some may think that this is a scam. You are right to skeptical. There are a lot of scams out there today, and it is easy to be taken in. But we stand on a firm legal foundation, recently reaffirmed in a unanimous decision by the United States Supreme Court. They ruled in
Tyler v. Hennepin County that any surplus funds left over after a foreclosure sale must be made available to be returned to the owner who was foreclosed upon. However banks and Counties are not required to track you down, so they do what is easy in most cases and send out notices to the last known address, often times the foreclosed home. No wonder you never knew these funds were available to you. Do your own research. We have provided links in the education section below.

How the Recovery Process Unfolds

We contact you to inform you of the possibility that you may be owed money from the foreclosure. You sign documents giving us permission to work on your behalf to navigate the complexities of state or county court and administrative procedures required to reclaim your funds. Some of these documents may need to be notarized, but we make that easy with our virtual notary, you don't even need to leave the comfort of your home. We do everything we can to make this simple and easy for you.
What documents might I need to sign?
Depending upon the jurisdiction these documents may be one or more of the following types.
- A Fee Agreement between us determining the share of funds that we will earn if successful in recovering your money.
- Third Party Authorization Form: This document designates Superior Equity Restoration as your Representative in our efforts to reclaim any funds that may be available for you. Sometimes however this is not enough for some jurisdictions.
- Assignment of Excess Proceeds: This assigns the rights to the excess proceeds to Superior Equity Restoration, giving us the legal right to pursue the funds on your behalf.
- Letter of Direction: This letter notifies the responsible parties in the Courts or Administrations that you, the Claimant, would like them to make the check out to your Legal Representative, usually Superior Equity Restoration, or one of our Attorney's.
- Limited Power of Attorney: This document grants Superior Equity Restoration, or one of our Attorneys, Power of Attorney on your behalf, limited to ONLY this effort to recover your money, and only for a limited amount of time. Some Jurisdictions will only work with us if we have this power to represent you.
- Attorney Retainer Agreement: We use this when the funds are held within the Courts jurisdiction and recovery requires complex legal filings.

Once we have all the necessary documents signed, we can begin to effectively represent you, discovering if funds are available and how much, where the funds are held, and the processes and documents necessary to return this money to you. This period is generally between two and six months, depending upon the type of jurisdiction where the funds are held, how busy they are, and the complexity of their process.
